Blech! Absolutely horrible horror-genre filler. They chose Christian Slater and Tara Reid as the lead roles. Bad sign. The plot is laughably, haphazardly assembled. At some points I actually started bursting out laughing, either because it was almost too painful to watch, or because it was just downright goofy. This would've been better if they'd screwed their heads on right and done this as a mock-horror comedy. But instead, we get crap. Stay tuned for the ending credits song... nothing goes better with an absolute flop of a horror movie than... yes, that's right: Techno-Opera Metal music at the end. I can't even describe it, almost made the movie worth sitting through. But not really.

Just an awesome movie. A little strange to get used to, but it has such a strong feel for the world in the movie, lots of use of color and strange flashy shots but used well. Gets better after a few viewings.

Low budget movie. Doesn't follow the book. Not horrible acting, just not good. Definitely not engaging.
