My New House

Posted by james on Sept. 30, 2005

Hey! I finally got to see my new house... it looks good. I should've chosen a carpet color other than "generic off-white yellowish" or a paint color. But hey, looks good. Kitchen looks nice in laminate and linoleum, with fake plastic white countertops. I don't need tile or marble, I'm a simple kind of guy.

Hawaii Visit 2

30 pictures.

Hawaii followup, more pictures, fun.

More Pictures of the Hawaii visit posted. It was lots of fun, crazy (trying to work and be tour guide, hard), tiring, fun. I loved it.

Lauren made me a scrapbook with pictures from lots of my friends. Awesome. I got to eat great pizza, ok fish, bad poi, and cockroach covered lau lau pork.

We didn't get to do the sunset cruise, Hanauma Bay, or the Polynesian Cultural Center, but we got to do a lot of other stuff that was ok. Lots of beaches, a cheesy luau, lots of laughing.

They left wednesday, same day my dad moved to Guam. So now it's just me, alone on my new adventure in Hawaii. It's not that bad; just hearing from other people, messges, emails, makes me feel more connected and hopeful. Plus, I'm starting to hang out more with my here-friends which always helps.

So I'm going to start going to a bible study, visiting starbucks to be one of those "Reading by myself all pensive and mysterious"-type peoples to do my devotionals. I just bought a book, Seeking Wise Counsel. I really want to learn more about this whole counseling thing, I'm fascinated. I find myself intimidated at the array of books available at the bookstore. Christian Counseling vs. Traditional Psychology? Are they mortal enemies? Complements? What am I looking for? Who knows.

Doing alright. It's not a bad time of life.
