dater - can this apply an arbitrary date to a file? i made a java program that does this for my photo-renaming-metadata program, but was frustrated at the lack of options (from within java) to modify filesystem dates...

ps - anti-spam, you could have signed-in people's comments show up automatically... then make it hard (ie you have to be intelligent) to sign up... (ie to sign up, you would have to count the number of "q's" in the sign-up text, and enter that along with your user information)
