The trailer for this looked amazingly funny. And I love Will Ferrel. Problem is; I hate most Will Ferrel movies. I found Anchorman completely boring and ridiculously not-funny, same with Taladega Nights. So was this going to be another boring/ridiculous Ferrel movie, or an awesomely funny/ridiculous Ferrel movie.

It was awesome, and completely ridiculous. This felt like a string of SNL skits strung together by an overall plot, but in a good way. Maybe what helped was that Ferrel was playing a straight role, and not trying to be an unbelievable character like in his other movies. Maybe having stoic Mark Wahlberg along helped out. Whatever it was, I laughed more for this movie than most others I've seen recently. Recommended.
